Thailand health authorities approved a generic version of Pfizer's Viagra (sildenafil) erectile dysfunction to be marketed beginning Oct. 1 as Sidegra by made by state-run Government Pharmaceutical Organisation. The company plans to price the drug at 80 cents, about a tenth of the price Viagra would cost in Thailand, leading Pfizer to consider reducing its price by 30%, which it said would be part of a government effort to battle fake drugs widely available in Thailand.
