Wockhardt issued a U.S. recall of 109,744 bottles of its generic version of AstraZeneca's Toprol (metropolol) drug for treating high blood pressure, a drug made at a plant not under U.S. FDA import alerts. The agency said a test sample of the extended-release drug failed a dissolution test. The drug was produced at Wockhardt's plant in Mumbai.
