Embroiled in a dispute over intellectual property (IP) royalties, physician/inventor/entrepreneur Thomas Fogarty, MD, and Three Arch Partners, the venture firm he co-founded in 1993, have parted company. The source of the dispute is alleged to be royalties that Fogarty claims are due his development company, Fogarty Engineering Inc. , from IP they developed related to the AutoPulse automated resuscitation device made by Revivant Corp. (now part of Zoll Medical Corp. [See Deal]), a Three Arch portfolio company.
