Jan.—Asuragen (molecular diagnostics and therapeutics for cancer) has licensed from Yale University exclusive access rights to inventions developed by the institution's Dr. Frank Slack pertaining to the regulation of oncogenes by microRNAs (miRNAs).

Dr. Slack and Asuragen discovered that the miRNA let-7 regulates the expression of human oncogenes, specifically the ras gene. The parties also discovered that misregulation of let-7 in lung cells...
