The election of Donald Trump as the next US president might suggest a degree of policy unpredictability for pharma companies but Indian firms are hoping that the businessman in the real estate mogul and President-elect will see the value that generics offer.

In a television interview with Indian tennis ace Vijay Amritraj some years ago, the US president-elect Donald Trump suggested that he went ahead with the popular reality TV show The Apprentice despite advice to the contrary. And once he had committed himself, there was apparently no going back.
