Panacea-Serum Team Up To Take Six-In-One Vaccine Global

Panacea Biotec has allied with the world’s largest-vaccine maker, the Serum Institute of India, to ramp up production of a six-in-one jab aimed at preventing killer diseases like polio and diphtheria and target a global market estimated to be worth over $1.25bn annually.

Panacea Biotec Ltd., a leading Indian biotechnology firm, has combined forces with the Serum Institute of India Ltd. to expand production and global supplies of Panacea’s hexavalent vaccine.

Last March Panacea launched a fully liquid hexavalent combination vaccine, EasySix, to be administered to newborn babies to prevent six diseases, diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, hepatitis B, Haemophilus influenzae type B and polio
