With an eye on the rising number of tech-savvy patients and health care personnel (HCP) relying on digital information, Lupin Ltd. has partnered with Aptar Pharma to introduce India’s first smart device for metered-dose inhalers (MDIs). The device brand name, Adhero, plays on its intended end-benefit of adherence to therapy among those with chronic respiratory diseases.

Inhalers are the preferred delivery option for managing a rising incidence of chronic respiratory diseases like asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in India
