Clinical trials in a range of diseases continue to be impacted by concerns about patient safety and health care resources as the COVID-19 pandemic grows.

The pace of biopharmaceutical company announcements about COVID-19 concerns impacting clinical trials and other areas of their business is picking up. At least seven companies made such disclosures on 26 and 27 March, including Vertex Pharmaceuticals Inc.
