Takeda Sheds More Non-Core Assets, Employees In $670m Orifarm Deal

Danish firm picks up portfolio and manufacturing sites, along with around 600 employees.

Takeda Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd. has agreed to divest a portfolio of around 110 of non-core, over-the-counter (OTC) and prescription pharmaceutical products it sells in Europe to Orifarm, in a deal worth up to $670m.

The Danish firm will pay around $505m in cash at closing and some $70m in non-contingent cash within four years....
