Moderna has updated its protocol, expanding its recruitment target to 30,000 and aiming for more ethnically diverse and at-risk groups to be included.

Moderna has said the first millions of doses of its vaccine could be ready for Thanksgiving in late November.

The US government is to double its funding of Moderna, Inc.’s COVID-19 vaccine research, to just short of $1 billion dollars after the biotech decided to expand its Phase III program.
