Novavax’s COVID-19 Vaccine Boost From First Phase I Data

A first look at the clinical data for Novavax’s COVID-19 vaccine suggests it can produce strong antibody responses while being well tolerated.

Novavax, Inc.’s recombinant COVID-19 vaccine candidate NVXCoV2373, given with its Matrix-M adjuvant, elicited robust antibody responses numerically better than those seen in human convalescent sera, and was generally well-tolerated, the first data from its Phase I/II study show.

The results come from the Phase I portion of the trial which evaluated two doses of the vaccine administered at two levels (5µg and 25µg) with and without Novavax’s patented...
