Health authorities in Japan, along with the vaccine’s manufacturer and local distributor, are investigating two deaths following the administration of the second dose of Moderna, Inc.’s mRNA COVID-19 vaccine mRNA-1273. Any link with the vaccine has not been established and a formal probe is underway to establish causality.
