Sawai Focuses On New Products, Supply To 'Retain Trust' of Japan Generic Industry

Sawai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., one of the major Japanese generic firms, is aiming to grow its business steadily with a value-centric strategy, while also seeking to rebuild group company Upsher-Smith Laboratories, LLC in the US.

Last year, the firm also established a new company after acquiring a large manufacturing site from domestic competitor Kobayashi Kako, which decided to terminate its business after a product contamination incident
