Walmart has launched an attack on a host of industry-leading generics firms over historical price-fixing allegations, with the US retail giant seeking treble damages from a Pennsylvania district court.

Walmart has become the latest party to wade into the long-running saga of generic price-fixing in the US, with the retail giant filing a lawsuit in the eastern district of Pennsylvania district court seeking treble damages against a host of manufacturers.

In the near-700-page complaint, Walmart says the generics firms engaged in “a wide-ranging conspiracy to fix, maintain, and/or stabilize the prices, rig bids, and engage in market and customer allocations...
