The number of venture capital mega-rounds of $100m or more plummeted from 11 in January to just three in February, but appear to be on the rise again with five as of mid-March. Flagship Pioneering’s latest start-up, Lila Sciences, brought in the largest of this month’s mega-rounds with $200m in seed funding, while Curevo Vaccine revealed a $110m series B round and Insilico Medicine raised a $110m series D round.
