AstraZeneca Leads The Way In Clinical Trials

The UK group began more clinical trials last year than any other company, a new report from Citeline has found.

AstraZeneca ended last year as the world’s seventh largest pharma company by market cap – but as the leading group when it comes to starting clinical trials. Last year AstraZeneca kicked off 139 trials, the majority in cancer indications, beating Pfizer into second place.
