Also Strikes Branded Injectables Deal With Melinta For MENA Region

Fresh from resuming launch of its generic version of Advair in the US, Hikma has also been boosted by an FDA approval for its 505(b)(2) naloxone 8mg nasal spray. Both developments are expected to drive the firm’s generics business to the top end of its guidance for 2021, management revealed.

Hikma expects to hit the top end of its guidance for its generics business in 2021, boosted by the recent resumption of launch activities for its US rival to Advair Diskus (fluticasone/salmeterol) as well as the US Food and Drug Administration’s approval this week of the firm’s Kloxxado (naloxone) 8mg nasal spray.

In mid-April, Hikma restarted launch activities for its Advair generic, after the FDA approved a necessary amendment to the firm’s abbreviated new drug application that had forced it to put launch plans on hold in early 2021
