Struck License And Supply Agreement With Italfarmaco Group’s Chemi

Zydus Cadila has partnered with an Italian manufacturer to launch a generic version of preservative free Lovenox. Days earlier, the Indian firm’s management had discussed its hopes and expectations for its fledgling US injectables business.

Zydus Cadila is set to bolster its portfolio of US complex injectables and improve supply of critical care drugs after signing a license and supply agreement with the Italfarmaco group’s Chemi to launch the Italian firm’s generic version of Lovenox (preservative free enoxaparin sodium) in seven dosage strengths in the US.

Under the terms of the firms’ agreement, Chemi will manufacture and supply the product – for which it owns proprietary rights on a preservative free product formulation in single-use
