The Union for International Cancer Control and its partners, including the Medicines Patent Pool and International Generic and Biosimilar medicines Association as well as firms such as Teva, have announced the establishment of the Access to Oncology Medicines Coalition, a global partnership designed to facilitate access to essential cancer medicines in low- and lower-middle-income countries. The ATOM Coalition said it also aims to help these countries “develop the capacity for their proper use.”
