Krka To Plant Its Flag In India With Laurus Labs JV

Slovenian Firm Eyes Local Market, Other Non-EU Opportunities

Delivering record annual sales and profits according to preliminary financial results, Slovenia’s Krka will soon look to set up shop in India via a new company established with local big player Laurus Labs.

Krka is throwing its lot in with its long-term contractual partner Laurus Labs to set up a joint venture in Laurus’ native India, Krka Pharma Pvt. Ltd, which the Slovenian firm says will enable the production of finished products for new markets where it is not currently present, including India.

Set to be established in Hyderabad, the joint enterprise will be 51% in the hands of Krka, with the remainder being held by Laurus
