More than one year on from Russia’s invasion, Ukraine is bloodied but unbowed – but its once-flourishing clinical trials environment has all but ground to a halt.

While fierce fighting between Ukraine’s army and Russian forces continues in the south and east of the nation, the rest of the country is trying to carry on as normally as possible, but sporadic rocket and drone attacks terrorize the capital, Kyiv, and other cities behind the frontlines
