Asian Medtech Innovators Have Come Of Age In A Region Undergoing Fast Growth

APrevent, a laryngeal implant developer from Taiwan, was named the overall winner of the annual MedTech Innovator APAC accelerator award for 2024. Awards managing director Fredrik Nyberg talked to In Vivo about the rising importance of the APAC region’s hub of companies providing innovative medtech.

There are two common links between the annual MedTech Innovator APAC accelerator awards and APACMed, the Asia Pacific Medical Technology Association. One is that the latter’s annual forum hosts the former’s grand final – where the audience gets to vote live in plenary for the top prize winner. This year it bestowed the honor on a Taiwanese company for the first time.
