The European Society of Cardiology Congress 2012 wrapped up Aug. 29 in Munich, Germany. Researchers unveiled data at the meeting on an assortment of devices, including the expected entries for transcatheter aortic heart valves and drug-eluting stents, as well as notable findings for earlier-stage technologies. There was also some discouraging data in the mix for intra-aortic balloon pump treatment of cardiogenic shock.
