Philips Healthcare announced the launch of its new Informatics Solutions and Services business last month. The division’s head, Jeroen Tas, spoke with “The Gray Sheet about the new effort.

Growing incentives for hospitals to offer more coordinated, cost-effective care are driving more device firms to expand offerings well beyond packaged products to include services designed to improve hospital practices.
