Test Beds, Digital Hubs And Innovation Tariffs Top Medtech News At UK's NHS Expo

The annual NHS Health & Care Innovation Expo struck positive notes for medtech and digital, and just for a change, the UK's health-care leaders could bask in the glow of an appreciative audience.

NHS chief executive Simon Stevens and UK health secretary Jeremy Hunt don't often get the chance to play to a home crowd – and this was a sizeable gig too: with 5,000 at Manchester Central, it was the biggest of the NHS's now annual Innovation Expos, Hunt told delegates.

And Stevens clearly knows how to work the audience, telling them it was good to be hanging out with the "can-do" crowd
