Alcon Selects Philips HealthSuite For Digital Platform Development

Royal Philips' HealthSuite digital platform has secured more industry partners to leverage the open, cloud-based infrastructure to provide services and facilitate connections to multiple diagnostic and surgical devices and data sources. Novartis' Alcon, and remote patient monitoring provider Integron, are the newest signatories to the platform.

Novartis AG's Alcon Inc. eye-care division has selected Philips HealthSuite digital platform as the vehicle with which to develop its own innovative, ophthalmology care platform, which it is calling Alcon SMART Suite. Alcon says it aims to produce tools that will streamline, simplify and improve cataract surgery for surgeons and patients, and deliver personalized, seamless end-to-end care.
