NASS2019: Robotics Spotlight Is On New Platforms By Globus Medical, NuVasive

Robotic systems took center stage at this year's annual spine society meeting in Chicago. NuVasive unveiled its new Pulse robotic spine surgery system with several differentiating features. Globus Medical showcased a new imaging platform and Interbody module.

The spine surgery market is growing modestly, but innovative companies that focus on enabling technologies and offer procedural integration are going to be ahead of the game, Wells Fargo analyst Larry Biegelsen said in a note from the North American Spine Society's (NASS) 2019 annual meeting held from 25 to 29 September in Chicago.
