Distalmotion’s Dexter Robot Enters Clinical Use In Gyne Procedures

The hybrid surgery robot, positioned by its inventor Distalmotion as an affordable alternative to technologies currently on the market, has had its first clinical uses in gynecology.

Swiss company Distalmotion SA is claiming a major breakthrough for its CE-marked Dexter surgical robot, after it was used in a clinical setting on gynecology patients for the first time. The hybrid robotic surgery device was used in a number of hysterectomies performed at the Inselspital, in Bern, Switzerland.
