AdvaMed Launches Ethics Code To Meet ‘Business And Market Realities’ In India

Industry group AdvaMed says its Indian code on interactions between medtech companies and health care professionals is a first for the country.

The US trade group, the Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed), is urging medtech companies that do business in India to adopt a code of ethics that it has developed specifically for the country on their interactions with health care professionals (HPCs).

The code, launched in October, is India’s first for medical technology and diagnostic manufacturers, and it takes into account the unique requirements of the country –
