Amazon’s planned acquisition of One Medical will dramatically expand their brick-and-mortar footprint, accelerating its growth, according to a health care consultant.

Amazon agreed to buy primary care services provider One Medical’s parent company 1Life Healthcare in a deal valued at $3.9bn, further expanding its reach in the health care sector, the companies announced on 21 July.
