Promoting health equity in artificial intelligence and machine learning devices needs to be addressed at every step of the product life cycle, researchers at the University of Iowa said in an article from Nature’s partner journal of digital medicine.

It’s well known that training sets and algorithms for AI/ML devices can be full of bias, but addressing bias at the development phase is not the only piece of the life cycle to consider
