UK Virtual Wards Get Boost From £30m Medtech Funding For Integrated Care Systems

Drones and other advanced tech will be used to speed diagnosis and treatment says government

Medtech companies serving NHS patients in England have been given an extra impetus for getting products into the market following the UK government’s allocation of £30m to fund innovative technology procured by Integrated Care Systems.

NHS England’s Integrated Care Systems (ICS) – a network of organizations set up on a statutory basis in July 2022 to deliver seamless health and social care services in 42 local areas – have been invited to bid for a share of £30m ($36.2m) to roll out innovative technology.
