UK’s IDAP Medtech Innovation Pilot Will Take ‘Portfolio Approach’

The pilot of eight innovative medtech and healthtech products that address unmet needs will close for applications on 29 October. A UK government webinar answered questions on rationale and processes for eligible technologies.

The UK’s Innovative Devices Access Pathway (IDAP) is a vehicle designed to expedite the adoption of high-impact technologies in the UK. The deadline for applications under the pathway’s pilot phase is 29 October.

IDAP supports the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) Medtech Strategy’s priority 2 (innovative and dynamic markets stream) and also fits with the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE)’s five-year transformation plan
