The American Telemedicine Association is embracing the US House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health after it unanimously voted to advance a two-year extension of many of the telehealth flexibilities that were put in place during the pandemic and were set to expire at year-end. The committee also advanced a five-year extension of the Acute Hospital Care at Home Program.
Kyle Zebley, senior vice president, public policy at ATA and executive director of its affiliate group, ATA Action, applauded the subcommittee’s action stating it provides certainty for patients and clinicians across the country by allowing the health care system enough time
