Royal DSM NV expands its nutritional lipids business by acquiring Ocean Nutrition Canada Ltd., planning to grow the business into a global source for omega-3 fish oil and pharmaceutical ingredients.

The $532.6 million (Canadian $540 million) acquisition announced May 18 provides a complementary piece to DSM’s nutritional lipids business, which it built around Martek Biosciences Corp
