Moscicki, One Of US FDA's Industry Connections, Moves To PhRMA

One of the faces of FDA's effort to recruit senior leaders from outside its walls has decided to return to industry.

Moscicki spearheaded an unofficial campaign to recruit senior industry officials to FDA.

Richard Moscicki, who had been deputy director for science operations in the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, will become chief medical officer and executive vice president at the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA), where he will lead the trade group's science and regulatory advocacy efforts. PhRMA said in an Aug. 30 statement that Moscicki is expected to begin in early October.
