Who Wants To Be 'Essential'? US FDA Considers Critical Drugs List

To address chronic shortages, FDA may create list of 'essential' drugs, but will suppliers of those products be happy to be designated 'essential'?

Among the items on the table for the US FDA’s reconstituted drug shortage task force is the idea of maintaining a federal list of essential drugs where maintaining adequate supplies constitutes a public health priority.
