Gilead Lowering HCV Drug List Prices With Authorized Generics

Approach has been endorsed by Express Scripts as more workable solution than trying to cut list prices for drugs already on the market.

Gilead Sciences Inc. will undercut the prices of its own blockbuster hepatitis C drugs beginning in 2019 by offering authorized generics of Epclusa (sofosbuvir/velpatasvir) and Harvoni (ledipasvir/sofosbuvir) at more than 60% discounts to the brands.
