If nothing else, the US Health and Human Services Department’s decision to appeal the recent court decision striking down its direct-to-consumer advertising rule shows how badly the Trump Administration wants to keep swinging in its battle to lower drug prices.

HHS filed a notice of appeal on 21 August, seeking to overturn a lower court ruling that HHS lacks congressional authority under the Social Security Act to require disclosure of list prices in TV commercials for prescription drugs
