Former US FDA Commissioners Try To Shake Loose Biden Nomination

The former FDA commissioners said Biden should prioritize securing an agency leadership team.

Six of the previous eight confirmed US Food and Drug Administration chiefs are urging President Biden to make his pick for commissioner soon, though also noting no concerns with the current temporary leadership, headed by Janet Woodcock.

Instead, they emphasize the need to make an official nomination to further underscore the importance of scientific rigor and independence for the FDA
