US government price negotiation and price inflation rebates for prescription drugs in Medicare are two major revenue generators that Senate Democrats are counting on to fund a significant part of their $3.5tn so-called “soft” infrastructure legislation, according to a budget resolution plan released by Senate leaders 9 August.
