US Food and Drug Administration Commissioner-nominee Robert Califf has asked acting Commissioner Janet Woodcock to stay at the agency for more than a transitional period if he is confirmed to the lead role, sources say. But it’s unclear if Woodcock, who has previously indicated she would help ensure a smooth transition, wants to stick around for a more permanent senior level spot.
