Vaccines For Uninsured Adults Initiative Proposed In Biden’s Federal Budget For 2023

All vaccines recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices would be provided to uninsured adults at no cost under a new program proposed in President Biden’s 2023 federal budget plan, released 28 March.

“The COVID-19 pandemic highlights the importance of vaccines and prevention,” the Health and Human Services Department budget document states. “Long-standing, deep disparities exist in adult vaccination coverage based on race and ethnicity, particularly among Black and Hispanic populations
