New WHO Multidisciplinary Panel To Advise On Clinical Trial Best Practices

A new WHO technical advisory group will help deliver the ambitions of the World Health Assembly’s 2022 resolution to strengthen global coordination on how clinical trials are conducted, evaluated and reported.

The World Health Organization is looking for a dozen experts to join a new technical advisory group to help deliver guidance on best practices for clinical trials as outlined in the World Health Assembly’s May 2022 resolution on this topic. 

The WHA resolution is aimed at improving the quality, efficiency and transparency of drug, device and vaccine clinical trials worldwide. It called for the development of new guidance, as needed, on measures that WHO member states could apply to strengthen their respective clinical trial infrastructure in normal times as well as during a public health emergency of international concern
