Egyptian Agency Becomes First ICH Member From Africa, Get Rights To USP

Under two developments in June, Egypt’s drug regulator can now be fully involved in the work of the International Council for Harmonisation, and it can incorporate the United States Pharmacopeia and the National Formulary standards into the Egyptian Pharmacopoeia.

The Egyptian Drug Authority has become the first country in Africa and the second in the Arab world to become a member of the International Council for Harmonisation, bringing the total number of ICH members to 21.
