‘Close The R&D Gap’ Between EU & Other Regions, EFPIA Tells Lawmakers

As EU legislators begin their discussion of the EU pharmaceutical overhaul, EFPIA has issued its formal response to the proposals, with a focus on topics such as unmet medical need, environmental risk assessments and drug shortages.

The European pharmaceutical industry federation EFPIA says that over the coming months it will work with the European Commission, members of the European Parliament, EU member states and other stakeholders to “close, rather than widen, the gap between the EU and other regions of the world as an attractive place for pharmaceutical research and innovation.”
