New ePortal To Simplify Processing & Tracking Of WHO Prequalification Applications

The World Health Organization, whose prequalification team received over 1,000 applications last year, is launching an electronic portal that should make it easier for manufacturers and regulators to keep track of submissions.

The World Health Organization is planning to launch an electronic prequalification (PQ) system (ePQS) portal that will allow regulators and pharma and medtech companies to track prequalification products, applications and inspections more efficiently and in real time.

The new portal, which is due to go live on 1 January 2024, will be used to process PQ information for medicines, diagnostics, vector control products, vaccines, immunization devices, quality...
