In the event of a future pandemic, more transparency will be crucial in tackling a host of issues that were poorly handled during the COVID-19 crisis, such as procurement contracts, vaccine production and distribution, licensing deals, transfer of technology and know-how, and the basis for countries’ regulatory decision making.
