WPC Report: Fragrance Industry Reps Lament Shrinking Ingredient Palette

While executives voiced their frustrations at the World Perfumery Congress over the depletion of usable fragrance ingredients due to increasing regulations, IFRA worked to drum up support for its consumer-facing efforts touting the safety of the industry.

Industry representatives at the World Perfumery Congress expressed frustration over “anti-chemical” sentiment among consumers and overzealous regulatory policy, which has cut a swath through perfumers’ ingredient palette.
