IFRA Works To Block Legislation Limiting Fragrance Ingredients

The trade group seeks to prevent the European Commission from passing legislation recommended by the Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety to strongly limit the use of certain fragrance ingredients. IFRA’s work plan seeks to address fragrance contact allergy without establishing such limits.

The International Fragrance Association hopes to dissuade the European Commission from passing legislation to restrict the use of 12 common fragrance ingredients, which the group says would critically damage the industry.
